to know.
These terms are an agreement between you and Lonely Labs, Inc ("Hey Twin," "we," "us") for the Hey Twin website and messaging service.
eligibility and agreement
The Hey Twin messaging service currently serves people age 13 and older in the United States, in English. By using the service, you agree to these terms and confirm that you meet that requirement. If you are not old enough to agree to contracts where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these terms for you. If you do not agree, do not use Hey Twin.
what hey twin does
Hey Twin is an AI period companion in a private one-to-one message conversation. It can answer general period questions, offer practical support, remember details you choose to save, help you look back at that history, and send check-ins. The website opens a message draft; you decide whether to send it.
Website conversations and dates are illustrations. Actual responses and features may differ or change. Period estimates are estimates, and early cycles can be irregular. Never use an estimate to make contraception or pregnancy decisions.
the waitlist
People age 13 and older can join the website waitlist from any country. By choosing phone signup and checking the launch-text permission, you authorize Lonely Labs, Inc (Hey Twin) to send one automated text announcing availability to the number you provide. Use only a number you own and can receive messages at. Consent is not a condition of purchase; email signup is available instead. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery is not guaranteed. Contactyo@heytwin.chat to leave before launch, or reply STOP to the launch text to opt out. Email signup requests a signup confirmation and a launch email. Waitlist signup does not create a product profile or authorize ongoing check-ins.
AI and health information
Twin is AI, not a person, doctor, nurse, therapist, or emergency service. It can misunderstand you, miss context, or give incorrect information. Hey Twinprovides general education and support; it does not diagnose, prescribe, treat a condition, or replace a qualified health professional.
Do not rely on Hey Twin for an emergency or a time-sensitive decision. If you may be in immediate danger or need urgent medical help, contact 911 or local emergency services, or tell a trusted adult who can help you get care.
messages and check-ins
By starting the conversation, you ask Hey Twin to reply at that number and to send service-related check-ins. Check-ins are designed to avoid health details in the notification-visible opener. Message and data rates may apply, and delivery is not guaranteed. Text pause to stop scheduled check-ins. Carrier or provider opt-out controls also apply. Text again to resume only when you want to.
your responsibilities
You agree to:
- answer the age check honestly;
- use Hey Twin only in a one-to-one conversation, not a group chat;
- share only information you have the right to share;
- not impersonate someone or submit another person’s private health information;
- not probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the service; and
- not use Hey Twin for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity.
privacy and your data
Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled. Our separate consumer health data privacy policy explains how period and symptom information is collected, used, disclosed, and controlled. You can correct saved information, ask what Twin remembers, pause check-ins, or request deletion in the conversation.
third-party services
Hey Twin depends on services operated by others, including Apple, mobile carriers, messaging infrastructure, OpenAI, and hosting providers. Their services and terms are separate from ours. We are not responsible for their independent products, networks, availability, or data practices.
ownership
Hey Twin’s software, design, brand, and original content belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. You keep your rights in content you submit and give us permission to process it only as needed to operate and secure the service as described in our privacy policies.
availability and account action
We may change, pause, or discontinue all or part of the service. We may limit or end access when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, provider requirements, or a serious violation of these terms. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to export or delete saved information.
disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hey Twin is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the service will always be available, accurate, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
limits on liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hey Twin and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data or profits, arising from the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or rights you have under consumer-protection law.
governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer rights where you live still apply.
changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the new terms with an updated effective date and give additional notice when required. Continuing to use Hey Twin after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
